I bought this coat rack in Light Walnut and then ordered a second one to go next to the first rack I bought. The colors are not only dark and a touch lighter but one has a red hue to it and the other does not. If you are buying multiples best to order all at once as the color quality control is not good.

My only issue is that you need a power drill to pre-drill a hole for the plastic insert to house the screw. If you don’t have that tool, you can’t just install with a screw driver.

It was a pain in the butt to hang, so I did it off-center to drill into studs to be safe. I hate things that are fake distressed so I painted it white. I am not thrilled they used hooks with fake rust painted on. See photo. I live in Western Oregon so there’s no need to fake any rust. Will likely replace the hooks or paint them. Solid pine as described. Not sure they are $50 of materials, but it is pretty much ready to hang.

I've done a lot of woodworking, and I found this item well-made, and well-finished. Perhaps they've improved it since some of the earlier negative reviews. But it didn't fit my application, which was to make hangers for my trumpet and cornet.

This is exactly what I was looking for! It's replacing the second set of those stupid straps with hooks that go over the door that I bought from bed bath and beyond. Those stupid hooks on those stupid straps basically disintegrate when you try to put ANYTHING on them. This is perfect though. It is currently holding like 8+purses plus robes and a scarf holder with no issue.
