To clean the floor, the door stopper can be removed from the assembled base plate. The included door protector on the door provides the appropriate holder for this.

The pin holding the mechanism looked like it was not properly stalked and was loose . A coupe of hammer touches solved that problem. Also the overall finish was a tad rough not allowing a smooth operation. I dropped some lubricant and played with it till the roughness was gone.

This door stop works well, and I installed it in a few minutes and it's easy to use. you can operate it with just your foot and easily push this down with your foot. When you no longer need it, you push a button with your foot and it pops back up out of the way. Very good design!
