I have used these door stops before. They do a great job in keeping a door open when you want it to be.

These door stops are LESS useful than the manual type.
They set (down) just fine, but when you press the release lever, it doesn't bring the stopper up.
At BEST, the stopper comes up halfway, and you have to use your toes to bring it the rest of the way up (just like a manual one).
At WORST, the lever & stopper get wedged together. In order to bring the stopped up, you then must press the stopper DOWN to break the wedge and try again.
I purchased two 4-packs, installed 2 on one door with the same result.

Perfect for keeping our french doors securely propped opened out onto the deck. There is no slippage when a gust of wind comes along, even though the deck is Trex (a composite of plastic and wood.) The foot pedal release is easy to use.

I was under the impreasion i could apply this to any door in my home for extra security. It only worked on my front door which is all wood. The back door it wont even tighten once we drilled it in and put the lach down it came out of the door. In my opinion this product is for wood doors only.

I had purchased a different brand of this that was more expensive and it wouldn’t fold up, it was such a pain, so I ventured to try again and get this one instead. Rather than be out even more money I went for cheaper but it looked nicer.
I have to say this is WAY better. This one is chrome plated so when i go to push on it it glides up smoothly. It looks cleaner too because of the polish. I’m recommending them to my workplace as a replacement for all of our door holders!
