Takes a little practice to keep your foot out of the way when releasing it, but works very well. Never have to bend down either way.

The answer to my prayers! I didn't even think about such a product until it came up on the list. Yay, I have a bathroom door, my house is crooked and this door "gooses" you while doing your hair, makup, etc. It refuses to stay open or even completely closed. It drives me crazy. With this little dude, problem was solved quickly and easily without any issues.
It was easy enough to install, even for a girl!! And, it has a nice strong magnet but not so strong that it's impossible to close the door. This is a great little design that certainly fixes my issues.
The door stop is very nicely made with a great finish and weight to it. This is very high quality for the price.
It arrives in clam shell package with directions on the back of the package.

Absolutely love this door stop. The semi automatic kick up feature is the best. Have had it for a few months now and it works well on the heavy wood door we mounted it to.

Good solid product. Doesn't have the magnetic power of another one we have at home, but does good. Our closet door swings open at an angle and this product works but you don't get the full force of the magnet due to the angle. I imagine it works great if you door swings into this fairly straight. I do like the fact that the receiver end does float and can adjust to angles.
Bit of a chore lining this up correctly with limited vision behind the door, but that would be true with any version of this.

This solved my problem of the slightly out of balance door that likes to partially close itself. With this magnetic latch, I am able to push the door open then the magnet holds it in place. No more self-closing ghost door at my office!
This door stopper installs in minutes and includes mounting hardware. It looks nice too, not that you will see it with the door open. Overall I love this item and am glad I found it!

I used to use a jug of water or a random heavy object to hold my door open, but this works great. It is easy to install and easy to use. It is hands-free and my six-year-old can use it.

This is just what I was looking for. Thanks, deerhardware, for always coming through! This holds my garage door open while I carry things in or out. The other one will prevent a door from blowing shut when the ceiling fan is on. This was a great find!

We have a few doors in our house that do not stay open unless they are propped open with something. I decided to order this for our office so that we could move our doorstop to another room and use this for the office, instead.
This is a very heavy duty, classy, magnetic door stopper. It looks very "officey." It is almost too professional looking to be in a regular house. But it is better than having no door stopper, and it is really nice.
This can be used in two ways: 1. door stop where the longer arm attaches to the back of the door and smaller magnetic part attaches to the wall (how I am using it), and 2. door catch where the longer arm is attached to the floor and the magnetic short part is attached to the back of the door. Either way, the two have a really strong magnetic attachment, so I don't think it would matter which way it were used. We have carpet, so we had to use it as a regular door stop. The "door catch" thing reminds me of something that would be in a doctor's office or a gymnasium.
I like this item because it really is made of quality materials and it looks great for our office. We have had previous door stops that have just fallen off of the door numerous times.
The reason I gave this four stars is because it is difficult to install this. My husband had to drill THREE holes into the back of our door with a very large drill bit (one of the holes shown was already there from a previous door stop) - so, if we ever decide to remove this, that area will be difficult to repair.
I am really happy with the way that this came out once we completed the installation. It looks great and it does exactly what we want.
Overall I am satisfied with this product.
