This is particle board not wood, and smaller than I imagined. I bought this "repackaged" and wouldn't have cared about imperfections, but it came falling out of the box with a large crack down the middle of the board. It is pretty affordable, but you get what you pay for. The hooks feel high quality, but the "wood", not so much.

I was disappointed to find that this is not made of wood but cheap particle wood. Furthermore, the total weight you can hang on this rack is 5lbs....so think about this, if you have 5 racks, and live in a place where things are getting cold you cannot hang your winter coats on this...I have 4 coats on there and within a couple of hours, the place in which the screws hook up to was ripped off BECAUSE IT IS CHEAP MDF. I ended up fixing the rack by reinforcing the back and using screws and washers going through the rack. Anyways, it looks good but is not doing the job.
